A week or so ago, I posted a photo of the first floret to open on a seedling which Harold Koopowitz sent me in 2008. The cross is N. tazetta aureus x N. miniatus. There are 3 clones in the pot, and the first to open shows more yellow on opening, and grows taller than the other two. There are multiple blooms per stem, and 3 stems from the first clone. And it’s fragrant. Thanks, Harold, for sharing the bulbs.

Mary Lou:
You are ahead in season compared to my garden this year. 2012 has had an exceptionally hot summer and the autumn flowers are just starting now. I have N. cavanilessii and N. serotinus in bloom with the buds of some N. miniatus starting to show.
Harold
Harold,
It was very hot and dry here this summer as well. I began watering on Sept. 6, while you were in New Zealand. I suspect that’s why I may be a bit ahead of you.
