bereavement notification – ADS member

Sadly, we have learned of the death of longtime ADS member, Alleyn Moore, of Baltimore, MD.  She was an ADS AJ and she joined ADS in OCT 1972.  The obituary is below.

MOORE Alleyn H.W. On November 21, 2012 Alleyn Hays Wagandt Moore , beloved wife of J. Raymond Moore, Jr.; devoted mother of Joseph R. Moore III and his wife, Annette LaMond, of Cambridge, MA; George T. Moore of Seattle, WA; Allen D. Moore and his wife, Eugenia, of Baltimore, MD; and Joan D. Moore of Towson, MD. Loving grandmother of Alexander, Christina, Robert, Louisa, Duncan and Sophie Moore. Sister of Charles L. Wagandt II, Ethel W. Galvin, and the late Anne W. Joslin Webster. Mrs. Moore graduated from Bryn Mawr School and Bryn Mawr College. She served on the Women’s Board of the Johns Hopkins Hospital. An avid gardener and horticulturist, she was a judge for the American Daffodil Society and The Garden Club of America. Mrs. Moore was a longtime member of the Hardy Garden Club.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Brown Memorial Presbyterian Church, Woodbrook, 6200 North Charles Street Baltimore, MD 21212 on Saturday, December 15 at 11 AM. Inurnment in the Church columbarium. Memorial contributions may be directed in Mrs. Moore’s name to The Garden Club of America, 14 East 60th St, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 1002,or Bryn Mawr School, 109 W.
