This is V06-58-7 which is: [(Tanagra x Wee Bee) x (Small Talk x Xana)] x Pumpkin Ridge. It is an Intermediate 1Y-Y (verging on a 1Y-O) and is 57mm in diameter. The cross was made with the goal of a Miniature 1Y-R. None of the progeny was close to Miniature. At 57mm, this is the closest to the size goal. None of the progeny met the 1Y-R color goal either. The color value is much less than half that of the pollen parent. I’ve intercrossed some of the siblings for the last two seasons.
I’d like to improve the width of the sepals which show much width influence from the Miniature side. The smoothness and hint of color come through from the ‘Pumpkin Ridge’ parent. A pleasant, smooth, early, Intermediate with some show potential.
It was grown inside this year to harvest early pollen. It blooms at early Season 2 outside.
