2013 Rongotea Spring Show

Today ,(  Thursday  19  September  )  was  spring  show  day  for  the  Rongotea & District  Horticultural  &  Produce  Society , established  1909 , and a good muster of Central region growers  staged just over  200 blooms for judge Reg Cull to assess . CHANSON IMG_7057 IMG_7136His choice for Champion Bloom was a fine CHANSON , grown by John Hollever and staged by Brian MacKenzie .Brian staged all John,s flowers on the day , as well as his own blooms ..He had a good show  for both of them .

 

CHAMPEENPremier Div 2 was a big , clean CHAMPEEN , again a Hollever flower .

 

 

 

TRUCULENTTRUCULENT  wasDiv 3 prem , again from John Hollever .

 

 

 

 

CROWNDALEBrian had one of his own , a big and round CROWNDALE , to take the double premier.

 

 

 

INTRIGUEBrian also had the Div 7 prem with a well reversed , 3 headed , INTRIGUE ..

 

 

 

EURITHYMICThe recently registered EURYTHMIC was Div8 prem for the tazetta champion Wilf Hall .

 

 

 

M H   114 - 03Wilf also had the poet premier with a Max Hamilton seedling , M H 114 – 03 .

 

 

 

MENEHAYMENEHAY , very consistent , was premier split for John Hollever .

 

 

 

GRANDE  MONARQUEHistoric prem was GRANDE  MONARQUE for Julie Harris .

 

 

 

 

POLAR  CONVENTIONAmateur prem was a nice POLAR CONVENTION for Joan Marshall .

 

 

 

KIWI  CARNIVAL Novice prem was a bright KIWI CARNIVAL for Dennis Rodgers .

 

 

 

 

CHILDS  PREMIERChildrens prem was a very bright but unknown pink , from probably a very bright  but  unknown child , who must have a mother somewhere ,  but I couldn,t find a card .

 

 

 

WTH ,  10 - T - 39  ,  10 - T - 1Premier miniature vase was 3 seedlings , 10 – T – 39 ,  10 – T – 14 , and 10 – T – 13 , all  8 Y – o  , from Wilf Hall .

 

 

 

SNIPESingle mini vase was SNIPE  , from Central patron , Elsa Stern .
