Thanks to Margaret Seconi for the T . B . show summary and results .Both Wilfred and I traveled about an hour south to stage our flowers on Friday evening .I had my camera out then , taking plenty but mostly of the early entries .I had a long chat to Wilf and spotted two poets in his vases , waiting to be staged . Last season , another very early season , he had poets flowering in August ; 2013 is the first year he has entered poets in a show in August .And , from all who saw it on Saturday , a most deserved winner and a great breeding achievement .The doubles were having a good season in our area ; I had a nice mix but they were dwarfed by John Hollevers hugh Neavesville Gold , Reserve Champion .Here are a few shots taken Friday evening .
Ballistic was having a good season ; not large but very smooth . My best formed had a few to many nicks .I had 5 good flowers in the show , all very neat but not large .
Neavesville Gold has had a good season .
A large pink double , JFM 12 – 25 , very smooth and well layered , had a little back greening that slowed its chances .
It was in my winning National 6 That also had premiers Rheban Red and Sunline
Wilfred had an attractive , deep yellow jonquilla seedling from Limequilla .
El Cid is a well coloured Div one reverse bicolour from Pleasant Valley Daffodils .Just checked on Daffseek and noted El Cid has had a name change to El Lute . .I had it under seedling number and provisional name . EL Lute , – – strong , attractive , reverses well .
