2014 Portland Show – Standard Single Cultivar Awards

The third and final Oregon Daffodil Society show for the 2014 season was at the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden April 5 and 6. The rhododendron show was in the exhibit building, and the daffodil show was under the wide overhang around the outside of the building. Due to an unfortunate weather incident at a previous show at this venue, the group has learned to tape the wood blocks holding the test tubes to the benches to keep the wind from blowing them off. This of course made it more interesting for the judges who tried to pick up the wood blocks to examine the flowers more closely. The cold rainy weather kept the humidity up and the temperature down to the benefit of the exhibits.
