When I went to my first ADS Convention (1981) it was to see (and
exhibit) flowers. Over the years, my primary purpose has changed. Now
it is to see my friends! Daffodil enthusiasts are a warm and friendly
group. I urge all of you to join the ADS. When I’m asked what benefit
one receives for the $30 annually, I usually respond “The Daffodil
Journal” – which every three months gives me my daffodil fix with
its beautiful color photos and interesting articles.” What I have
failed to emphasize is my country-wide and world-wide group of
friends with whom I get to spend a weekend every year. I urge all of
you to try the ADS – you’ll enjoy the Journal and soon you’ll
treasure the friends of like interests – nice folks who like flowers
and people!
