Subject: Daffodils surviving the winter
Message Body:
Hi, I’m writing a book in which I use daffodils as a metaphor. I’m curious about the process daffodils go through to survive the winter. It intrigues me. I read somewhere that there is a molecular change that occurs in the plant to respond to the stress. Do they need the frozen temperatures in order to bloom? Thank you
I suggest that people watch the New Zealand movie titled ‘Daffodils.’ When we went I have never known an audience to be so still and quiet then nobody moved until well after the credits were over. I think we all saw ourselves somewhere in the movie. This may well be a help to Sarita.
