Daphne Davis

Daphne passed away yesterday (Friday).

Some of you may remember Daphne from world conventions (she attended five) or from visits to Canberra where she was integral to our local show and horticultural society.

Most importantly for me she was my mother.

For the past couple of years Daphne has lived in St Andrews aged care facility suffering from dementia and unfortunatly not really able to remember or enjoy many of the things she did through her life. She was 83.

  2. Graeme, Ben and I are so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I remember when we first met Daphne at the 2004 World Daffodil Convention hosted by Australia. She checked us in and wished us to have a wonderful time. Thanks to Daphne, your father and the 2004 team, it was an incredible trip!

Please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss.

  3. A most significant loss. You have my sympathy, Graeme.

From my few ventures to Canberra, I met Daphne and enjoyed her company.  She was an excellent host for daffodil visitors.
