Daffodil Season

We are having a ‘typical” daffodil season here in east central NJ.  Last week we had four days where it got down into the low 20’s, 22 to 23 degrees ‘F’. I was at about 10 percent bloom and about 65 percent of those have stems broke over by the freezing.  My first show is coming up this weekend, and we now have had four days of rain, including today with temperatures in the 40’s “F”.  Driving day tomorrow along with staging.

New showers would normally expect me to have no daffodils for the show.  Sorry folks, my earlys are ready for the show bench.  Typical daffodil season is when everything doesn’t go right, but a good season anyway after waiting for three years. Year 2020 and 2021 when to COVID. Good to have a show again.
