Hello,

I have a miniature daffodil’s bulb I received in a water vase (bulb suspended over water). When it stops blooming, how can I keep the bulb till the Fall to plant outside?

Please advise.

Thanks,
Tom

  1. Many ways to try this, small bulbs must not be wet but must not dry out! I recall several protocols but the best advice that I have heard is to put them in the ground! So long as they are not wet(my ground the past 2weeks, or frozen(plant them only deep enough!) the bulbs have their best chance in the ground (for myself)

  2. I agree with John Beck, especially since the bulb was bloomed in a bulb vase with water. I would not try to save it until fall, but would plant it in the ground right away. I’m in middle TN. You didn’t say where you are located and someone in your area might have a different opinion, so you might want to share your location.
