I need some help eradicating Allium moly I bought from Brent and Becky’s.
I grow my Daffs in a light woods, and have all the minor bulbs sort of seeding around. Well, I bought 25 bulbs of Allium manly from B&B and it is taking OVER everything! And it’s tall. And the roots are really aggressive. Plus it reseeds, so now I don’t even let it bloom. It is coming up in places far from where it was planted!
The soil where they’re growing is to die for, but even so, I tried digging it out, but holy cow it was slow going. I did this last year and I cannot even see where I worked! It made no difference! And so much top soil leaving the property makes me really sad!
I can get the daffodils out of there, but how do I kill the allium? Does anybody know? Has anybody gotten rid of Star of Bethlehem or those wild spring onions? I think it would be the same procedure.
