To the hybridizers out there. I you cross two daffodils and the resulting seedling bloom so that they don’t favor any of the supposed parents, do you still show them using the cross that you registered. e.g. you cross a div 1Y-Y with a div 1Y-Y and you get a 3W-WYO do you sill show that daffodil with the two div 1 parents listed. To me it looks like the bald faced hornet beat me to the cross, however, it’s a good flower and I want to save it. What do you do?
This has happened several time with my crosses. Some of the resulting daffodils are very promising, however when you list the parents it seems like it should be.
