We had a warm February, and I assumed we would have an early daffodil year. . . however the jury is still out on an early spring in New Jersey. We have had a week of cold, blowing wind, with mostly sunshine and around 30 “F” degrees in the morning and opening up to the 40s during the day. We had 28 degrees “F” this morning and it’s about 48 degrees, sunshine, now with a good snappy wind to make it seem colder. This weather is expected to continue for the foreseen 10 day future forecast.
I thought you might like to see a cross section of my daffodil beds and how little foliage that I have here in New Jersey. The sign “Daffodil Dunes” was made and displayed by my son-in-law for our beach cottage in NC that we sold, so it got stuck in my daffodil beds in the back yard. I’m just hoping I will have something to show at WDS a month from now.
