The Greater St. Louis Daffodil Society held its 23rd annual regional daffodil show on March 31 – April 1, 2023, at the First Free Church in Manchester, Missouri. The theme for the design section of this year’s show was “Celebrating the Colors of Daffodils in Song.”
Fourteen exhibitors placed 389 entries and 694 stems in the horticulture division of the show, which was a bit fewer than last year, nevertheless very good for our difficult, early growing season. (Photos and verbiage for this show report were composed by Gerard Knehans.)

“Celebrating the Colors of Daffodils in Song” was the theme of the Design Section of the Show, with each exhibitor creating a design based on the theme of a song. The Design Section Best in the Show Ribbon went to Kim Peterson for her entry of ‘Lady Marmalade’.
‘Tie a Yellow Ribbon Around the Old Oak Tree’ was the song that inspired this entry by Jean Morris.
