Hello daffodil friends: have any of you ever experienced Pink Fire (2 W-P, Mitsch/Havens, 1988) w two flowers on a stem? Is this unusual in Div. 2?
Pic below. Thanks for your thoughts! Marty

I do not remember ever seeing 2 flowers on a stem of Pink Fire. However, in our climate (Northwest Oregon), it does occur occasionally in div 1 – 3, more frequently in div 3. Dr. Tom Throckmorton who bred many div 3’s, said he thought that more than one flower/stem on a div 3 was a sign of being well grown!

This week I found five florets/flowers on twin sisters when it generally
have two. I assume me it is newly planted bulbs I picked up a bulb
exchanged. Its the last flower standing! Ceci
For me, when Twin Sisters flowers I know that my season is over. Interesting for Ceci that it is otherwise known as N x biflorus. Means two to me.
It is also known as Twin Sisters here in the southern states of America.
