In 2023, the Georgia Daffodil Society got its feet wet in the area of hosting a photography show with the 2023 American Daffodil Society National Photography Show, which was held in conjunction with the ADS National Convention and Show in Atlanta. As Local Photography Show Chairman, I was delighted with the reception the show received, particularly the special class I created. Both prominent daffodil photographers and first-time photography exhibitors supported the show, and I must say I learned a great deal from Teri Carter, ADS Photography Standing Committee Chair.
Now that the Georgia Daffodil Society has both the show properties and the wherewithal to host a photography show, we are doing it again, and you are cordially invited! To be held in conjunction with the 2024 ADS Southeast Regional Show, the 2024 GDS Photography Show, titled Narcissus photogenica, is open to exhibitors well beyond the confines of Georgia and the Southeast Region. We will welcome entries from around the nation and from around the globe, for that matter.
Entries are accepted in-person or can be shipped to me. Schedules are accessible on the GDS website.
