I’m working on an article for the Journal on best uses for surplus/unwanted/mystery daffodil bulbs, and would appreciate hearing what others do with theirs.
Mine accompany my thank you notes to folks who support me in a local race that raises money to fight breast cancer.
Thank you, Vicky Eicher
Hi Vicky,
I’m still working on naturalizing bulbs around my landscape for
beautification. I also donate unknown bulbs to my garden club.

We have a bulb swap at our fall meeting (Middle TN Daffodil Society). You don’t have to bring bulbs to get bulbs. Any bulbs left after the meeting always easily find homes. There are not many people who do not love free daffodil bulbs. This year we had so many of a couple of species left after the meeting I gave everyone at my holiday garden club party a small bag of N. pseudonarcissus dug from a nearby historic house. I included a page that detailed information about the species (“Lent Lily” from the Wordsworth poem) and about the provenance of where the bulbs were dug.
Vicky,
I also give my extra named.daffodil bulbs to various daffodil societies
that have fall bulb exchanges. In the last few years those societies have
included VDS, WDS, Chambersburg, PA, Gloucester, VA, and Greenwich, CT.
