There’s a change from Saturday-Sunday March 2-3 to Wednesday-Thursday March 6-7 for the 2024 Livermore daffodil show. Our illustrious miniature hybridizer, Harold Koopowitz, is receiving a major orchid award in Taiwan at the end of February, and we need to give him time to return and collect his miniature daffodils to show in Livermore. Unfortunately, I’m the only one here who can run a daffodil show and already have a commitment for the following weekend, so we’re having a midweek show even though we may not get as many visitors.
The date change is too late to appear in the December 2023 Daffodil Journal, and the March 2024 Daffodil Journal might not arrive until after the show, but the ADS calendar in daffodilusa.org has been updated. Show hours are 1-5 pm on Wednesday and 10 am to 4 pm on Thursday. The venue, Alden Lane Nursery, is closed in the evening, so we can’t have an evening viewing for the show.
