My El Camino x N. viridiflorus which I got from Larry Force flowered for the first time already at November 6, 2011 in the greenhouse. About 10 % of the pollen grains sprout. This is quite a lot for a plant which should be unfertile in the theory and enough to make very interesting crosses as Brian wrote.

Everyone:
Glad to see so many people are growing this. I measured and
descxribed the flower when it was in bloom and intend to register it
for Manuel Lima. I propose to call it ‘Lima’s Green Road’. El Camino
means road and N. viridiflorus being green. The flower has a good
greenish caste too and Bob Spotts has used it in his green breeding program.
