The Standard White Ribbon for the best 3 stem entry in the show was awarded to the cultivar “Irene Copeland” 4 W-Y exhibited by Mark Budaj. I suspect it is unusual to see doubles awarded the white ribbon but I do believe they deserve it and congratulations to exhibitor Mark Budaj.
While a beautiful trio of doubles, this looks nothing like the Irene Copeland I’ve grown. I purchased mine from Old House Gardens. It was identical in appearance to the Heath Family Archives photo of Irene Copeland on Daffseek, as well as very similar to the one from Ian Tyler.
Could one of the authentic historics experts hazard an opinion? I have found Irene Copeland to have many more rows of much narrower petals.
Perhaps Mark could chime in with the source of his bulbs. Melissa
It’s not the Irene Copeland that I grow either. It looks a little like Unique.

I would tend to agree with the others, that the White Ribbon winner here is ‘not’ Irene Copeland.
the photos currently showing on Daffseek seem to be correct.
I hope someone can help Identify the bloom for Mark as it’s a fantastic flower!!
Tom
Since I have raised both Irene Copeland and Manly, I would guess Manly.
