Brian must not have any squirrels.  I could never get that large a clump of crocus.
Those pest love to dig them and I suppose dine on them.

From what I understand, Naomi, Northern Ireland used to have one but it died.  Isn’t that right, Brian?

    Chriss, Naomi,
Alas, many people complain about the American imported ‘Greys’ eating the birds nuts but we have no real complaint. We have an occasional visitor, one made a brief call to the bird feeders last week and promptly disappeared again.
So far squirrels seem to leave the crocus alone – magpies and rooks dig out the yellows and C. chrysanthus varieties – we have enough of those blackguards !
