Hi Daffnetters ,
As we are moving from summer into autumn, most daff groups are in sales mode ; raising funds
and trying to entice new members to our groups .
The Central Daffodil Group had a sales table at the Central Dahlia Group late dahlia show in
Feilding , Manawatu .This midsized semi – rural town has won the award for N Z best garden town
on six or seven occassions and has an enthusiastic , garden aware population ..
We set up about midday and sales were very steady until we ajourned for a meeting mid afternoon.
It was also pleasing to get good feedback on the bulbs sold last year .
The super salesman is Wilf Hall.
The most popular $5 dollar bag — — Erlicheer .
We advertise its fragrance — its well known by most gardeners and we sold out of Cheer quite quickly.
Other growers with regular sales stalls report the similar results ..
Over-all an enjoyable and profitable afternoon .
