Silken Snow is a most impressive double! I notice that on Daffseek it appears as a 4WW – some of the photos there indicate that it the yellow disappears with age. Is this so? Whatever it is lovely – so from one double breeder to another, congratulations. And its lateness may be an advantage in this country given our succession of seasons getting earlier. I suppose Niall might release it but how soon!!!!???
Cheers,
Peter

Hello Peter,
Thanks for kind comments.
I fear the retention of a little yellow/lemon is a seasonal thingand also it does take time to fade out enough to call it 4W-W. i may have to revise to 4W-Y. Stock is very small so it will be a few years before it is introduced, if at all! After this severe winter it had some green on the back which i do not remember before. ‘Greek Surprise’ which shows much more yellow was completely free of ‘greenback’ and may prove to be a better flower. It was best Div. 4 and Best in Show in Omagh this year. It is probably my best double so far.Brian. I’ll try and send a picture if I have one.
