Earthquake update

Hi all,
For those interested I thought an earthquake update may be of interest.. Things are far more settled and we thought the quakes were over, however they have increased again the last two days. It seems that the city and the people are coping better although many areas are still without water and sewerage.
Go to Christchurch Earthquake Live for updates and maps etc. If you go to earthquake 1866 you will find it’s epicentre in the Ruapuna raceway. We live one road down and three houses from Buchannans Rd. A little bit close for comfort. Quakes 1873, 1874 and 1877
gave us a good shake up.

I THINK THAT YOU MAY FIND THIS FUNNY.    Yesterday we here in Oklahoma had the bejezus scared out of us by a 5.1 quake, epicenter 6 miles east of Norman, OK.  We are used to ducking for cover from F5 tornados marching across the state but a little shaking of the ground under our feet and we are like idiots or the proverbial “chickens without their heads” so to speak.  Can’t even imagine the terror you all must feel with the huge quakes going on.
    Thanks for keeping us updated.  With the info you sent after the first quake I was able to check out Google Earth and other sources and have been able to really get a great perspective on your situation.
