flowering today

Last of the pics today. The yellow tazettas are from Bill Welch’s Autumn Colors crossed with the Soleil D’Or I call Bairns Sol (also the parent of First Stanza). In a climate a little warmer than mine these diploid tazettas are worth breeding in their own right I think. The white tazettas (paperwhites) are also flowering but these have not stood up to the frost so well. Also some viridiflorus hybrids and, surprising to me, is a jonquilla that will flower shortly. 1. Dear Lawrence…

With our pre-summer temperature ranging in the mid-90s and the task of lifting well underway here in the U.S., your pictures have truly given all of us a ‘lift’ as we eagerly anticipate our forthcoming (2012) bloom season!  Your flowers are all beaufitul, but then to those of us with ‘yellow fever’, all daffodils are beautiful!

    Best regards from Richmond, Virginia
