June Daffodil Journal – Small Error

Friends,

In Donna Dietsch’s good article, A Southern Springtime to Remember, in the June journal, a small error appeared in the second full paragraph on page 254. Towards the bottom of that paragraph, you will find a sentence that reads, “We admired his new ‘Crazy Horse’ from ‘Matador’ breeding, with a yellow stem only seen before on ‘Silverton.'” I wish I could claim that one, but I can’t. ‘Crazy Horse’ is a cultivar hybridized by the very successful hybridizer Bob Spotts.

I hope all of you enjoy the June “The Daffodil Journal.” Loyce McKenzie has done a very nice job with it.

  1. Ted, and also Bob,

I am so sorry for attributing that fantastic cultivar to Ted instead of Bob.

I would have liked to claim it, too. It was a gem!

  2. My copy arrived this morning and I read it from cover to cover while watching the President’s
news conference – a wonderful issue!
I didn’t even notice the error – but I was oh-so-proud of the wonderful picture on the
back cover of my fellow GA Daffodil Society compatriates.

Great job by all.    Thanks for the hard work and a wonderful Convention!
