Here in Cincinnati, the temps are forecast to be 11 degrees or so
tonight. On our property here, we tend to be a bit colder. Last
night/this morning, we hit 16. I’ll bet tonight will be in the single
digits.
I have a bulb of Dubius that is in open ground, but protected by the
house on one side and shed on the other. It’s foliage has been up since
December or so and has already gone through 13 degrees directly exposed
with no damage. That’s impressive to me.
Since we have already received about 1.5 inches of snow last night, I
covered the entire area with all snow for tonights brutality. about 80%
or more of all the plants are above ground, but these few nights
shouldn’t hurt them too much. I’m glad the buds aren’t above ground
quite yet!
How adorable, Harold! I love this one!
