3W-R ‘Mexican Hat’

Bob Spotts has hybridized a truly fabulous 3W-R. ‘Mexican Hat’ continues to impress me. I believe this superb flower to be of top world class in this most difficult color code.

The perianth segment width, incredible depth of red color, and vastly improved substance add to the significance of this flower. The lower photo shows a side view which allows a clear view of its perfect neck and pose. ‘Mexican Hat’ is a huge improvement, in multiple aspects, over that which exists. It will become available in three or four seasons. If you have an interest in this color code and/or Division 3’s, this is a flower you should add to your wish list.
