Intermediate 2W-P ‘Jeanie Driver’

Named for our dear friend and fellow Oregonian, Jeanie Driver. Jeanie’s love of Daffodils, hard work, and dedication was instrumental in the creation of the new class of Intermediate Daffodils. The flower below was chosen with extreme care and named as a tribute to honor Jeanie.
Thanks Jeanie. WE ALL LOVE YOU!
If you might like to send Jeanie a comment, please do. I’ll print out any REPLY’s and take them for Jeanie to have and read. Please send before Friday early evening. We’ll be with her at the Portland show this coming weekend.

  1. A DEFINITE WINNER – JUST LIKE ITS NAMESAKE!! MY INTEREST AND LOVE OF THE INTERMEDIATE WAS STIMULATED WHEN ATTENDING THE ADS CONVENTION IN OREGON AND SEEING HER GARDEN AND BLOOMS. BEAUTIFUL SELECTION. GLENNA

  2. Steve, to a woman whose beauty of soul no flower can approximate, this flower makes a fine tribute! What an honor for Jeanie to have such a lovely intermediate!

Please do tell Jeanie hello from me, and that I think of her often; especially, when ‘Brer Fox’ is in flower. I have a couple of red trumpet seedlings in the pipeline that I plan to name ‘Shooting Flies’ and ‘With a Twenty-Two’, inspired by a story she told me when I visited her lovely garden in 2000.   Perhaps she’ll recall. I hope you’re doing well.  Thanks for continuing to post your images!

  3. Jeanie, you are a great daffodil grower and I will always treasure my two visits to your garden.
But we will all profit, forever, from two of your ideas:
    a. the pre and post-convention tours, which have enriched our travels to so many locations.
    b. the intermediates, and your diligent persistence in preaching about them until somebody
      listened.

    Thank you always,

    Loyce McKenzie
