Nantucket Daffodil Show, 38th Annual Show – NGC Special Awards

I really understand the efforts required by Kirby Fong and Tom Stettner when they photograph their respective show winners. It is a lot of work for them but as one of the people that see the show results and photos, I appreciate seeing them.

The were a number of fine Nantucket Garden Club awards and since I viewed their trophys as works of art, I am sending an example of two.

The NGC had some very interesting trophys and I am sending this photo to show one of them, the “Laird V.W. Williams” Award. This NGC award is for the best miniature in the show which was awarded to “Minnow 8 W-Y” and exhibited by Heidi Drew.

You can also see a part of the Mary Armstrong memorial NGC award which is a beautiful and unique design with Nantucket island surrounded by daffodils. I am unsure but I believe this is awarded to the best collection of five stems exhibited by a NGC member. Another paper acknowledgment is near by for the Jean MacAusland Award so I many have these mixed up. Mary Malavase was the exhibitor.

They also had wonderful water color drawings of each daffodil division which were placed to tell people where to place their novice entries. There were several drawings for each division.
