I had typed ” Emerald ” into Daffseek to check the breeding of Emerald Monarch. What a beautiful array of green eyed beauties we have from a host of breeders. Quite obviously it is the clean white perianth and the green throats that appeal to many. Most also have very neat, circular perianths that draw the eye to the center. John Hunter has many similar flowers that can be classified as Autumn flowering, when most of the other green eyes are opening at the other end of the season, probably four months later than Emerald Monarch.
