New Zealand Bereavement

I report  with great regret the death of NDSNZ member Noel Inwood on 3rd January 2013.   Noel was one of a 3 generation family belonging to the NDS, his son, Greg, being an Executive Member and grandson, Jack, a Youth Member.  Greg’s partner, Anita, is also an NDS member.  Noel has attended many of the South Island shows over the years with Greg and the rest of the family. He was at the World Convention in Dunedin in September with his family and showed with some success in the Amateur Single Blooms.  Noel was great to chat to, always enthusiastic about daffodils and a real gentleman.  Our sincere sympathy to his family – wife Beth, Greg, Anita, Jack and other family members.

Kind regards to all,

Denise

  1. I only recently met Noel and Beth in September, in Hamilton, at the National show.  Noel was quite the pistol:  energetic and witty, and happy to be among his daffodil friends.  For the final evening in Hamilton, I had the pleasure of dining with him and Beth, among others, and our tableside discussions never strayed from lively!  Noel was quick to introduce me to the the New Zealand show process and the people involved, and he was exceptionally proud when he spoke of his grandson, Jack, a young man with much promise in the daffodil exhibition world whose winning flowers graced the exhibits.   To Beth, Greg, Anita, and Jack, I wish you much peace and many wonderful memories of your dear Noel.   Jason

  2. Thank you all for your kind words at this difficult and sad time for us.  Dad loved his daffodils and roses.  He will be missed.  Greg, Anita & family
