Yesterday was the RHS Early Daffodil show held in London. Members of the NIDG did very well and below are a selection of the winning blooms.
This is Brian Duncan’s First place winning six from the seedling section. It was awarded the John Blanchard Trophy.
This is Nial Watson’s First place winning six blooms.
Best bloom in show all went to one of Nial’s blooms. This being Queens Guard.
Best seedling under number and best miniature went also to Brian Duncan. This bloom is a N. cyclamineus x candlepower.
Fun was had by all and a very good show for Northern Ireland.

What Dave did not say was that he had a very good show himself with wins in enough classes to knock him out of the Novice section next year. Without the three exhibitors from N. Ireland it would have been a much thinner show. Somehow they managed to escape the worst of the snow and very cold winds which has affected most of the UK.
