John Hunters seedling bed.

DAFFODIL - _MG_8608So that’s what a professional seedling bed looks like!  I wished I could have spent more time with John Hunter, but my wife planned to see everything on the North and South Island in 3 1/2 weeks.  We saw more of NZ than most people can imagine but our next trip we will slow it down a bit and smell (and discuss) the flowers.  We traveled from Sept 28 – Oct 19th.  We missed the peak daffodil blooming season so will plan to go early Sept on our next trip.

I’ve got many pictures of daffodil related things from our NZ vacation.  (Teri took 4,000+) Posting photos take time and are a pain to do but I’ll be glad to post a few more if readers are interested.  Let me know if you want more.

  1. Bill, I’m sure many of us are enjoying your trip to NZ vicariously, so YES, please post more photos!  Thanks for taking the time to post them and thanks to your wife for taking them!

  2. Bill, you are a quick learner—with New Zealand, it’s always “the next time I go,” as well as “earlier in September.” Teri was remarkable–probably no one other than Kirby Fong took that many pictures on the 2012 World Convention tour.

Now, we are counting on your coming to Arkansas in March of 2014, so all of us can meet you and Terri.
