ADS show at Columbus Ohio

To see a 4 minute walk around of preparation for the ADS show at Columbus. This was at around 10 PM and went on into the night. I shot this to share at our Midwest Daffodil Society meeting on April 21. I plan to edit it and narrate it before then, but I thought some folks might like to see it now.

  1. Thanks George,

Really appreciate it. Hello to everyone and good luck!

    Larry, what is that red-pink?

And the nice Tricollet type pink split?

The video came through upside down for me so I finally had to work out how to rotate videos. It’s annoyed me for years.

  2. Thanks George for posting this video, I felt like I was there when watching it! Lots of pretty daffodils in that room, good luck to all!

  3. I watched the video first by turning my laptop upside down, then found the gadget to flip it in Windows Movie Maker.  ;->  Thanks, George, for taking and posting the video!

  4. Hello Lawrence and all,

Sorry for the delay in responding, I just got home yesterday. The red-pink you are referring to is John Reed’s 97-86-1 a (Decoy x Culmination) x Magican cross. Such intense color is certainly not the norm here in Mississippi. Just one of many, he has hybridized and selected along these lines.

Somehow I missed your earlier posting of the autumn flowering daffodils. Just saw it this morning. Some really nice forms and colors. Enjoyed seeing them, thanks for posting. I am growing some autumn flowering ones now also. Nice to have two daffodil blooming seasons.

Like you, the video is coming in upside down, but unlike you, have not figured out how to reverse it.

    Have a great day Lawrence,

    Larry

  5. Thanks for taking and sharing this video, George.  But dang, if I’d known there was gonna be pizza I’d have done my staging later in the evening!
