Fergus

This afternoon in Livermore, California it is 101 degrees Fahrenheit or 38 degrees Celsius as I write this. This morning I brought this pot inside to protect it from the heat long enough for me to photograph the flower. It is Fergus 6Y-Y, a miniature bred by Colin Crotty in New Zealand. The ruler on the right shows centimeters. Needless to say, it is one of the bulbs I’m currently turning around to the northern hemisphere as this is not its normal bloom time for California. I guess it would bloom in August in New Zealand.
