Hi Daffnetters ,
Just one posting tonight — an interesting intermediate size double that was not
what I was hoping for — a multihead double .
06 — 55 Blossom ( 4 W – O ) — x — tazetta sdlg T – 4 ( sol d,or O P )
Blossom is a double from Jim O,More , N Z , that is a proven parent .
I was chasing multi head doubles and the pollen parent is a tall , light yellow 8 Y – Y
that has been a proven pollen fertile parent for me ..
The flower size ( an Erlicheer at top for comparison ) is about 55 — 60 mm , easily inside
the official Intermediate scale .
It is very prolific ,has a light tazetta scent and this season I have spotted a few with good
pistils , which I pollinated with Avalanche pollen . Time will tell .
From the first 2006 flowering , I,ve probably had 20 stems , with no sign of multiheaders ..
Still , the door may be openning .
Cheers John .
