Daff Box of Cookies

Three weeks ago we found ourselves at Kew Gardens for the first time. I asked the guide to point our where I may have seen daffodils if I had been there a few months earlier. He pointed behind me and said, “Well, there were about 10,000 just over there.”
Af the end of our visit the same gent spotted me and called me over. He had visited the nearby gift shop to see what they had to offer for daffodils and recommended a nice plate for around 30 pounds. A nice touch.
We didn’t find the plate (could he have confused daffodils with dahlias?), but we did purchase this nice box of chocolate chunk hazlenut biscuits for 7.50, a little dear for cookies but a nice, out-of-season remembrance of the home office and a nice place to store ribbons and remembrances.

  1. I’ve found the same box of cookies at duty-free shops both in the UK and in Spain. The box is nice . . .and the cookies weren’t bad either. :-)
