  1. Harold,

So sorry to hear of the passing of Marilynn. The two of you have entered so many wonderful exhibits of miniatures at Conventions and other daffodil shows. She has meant so much to the American Daffodil Society and we all will miss her. Sincerely condolences to her family and close friends.

  2. Harold,

Thank you for sharing this sad news with us.  It certainly came as a shock .  She has done so much for ADS over the years, and we will all miss her.  Our sincere condolences to her family and friends.

  3. Marilynn Howe did a lot for ADS and will be missed. I met her multiple
times when she visited Marie Bozievich’s home and at a couple of
conventions. She and Marie were friends.

  4. I am sorry to hear the sad news about Marilynn. She often traveled with Harold to our Northern California daffodil shows and we saw her many times both in the local shows and several national shows too.

I remember Marilynn was at our dinner table when Nancy Tackett and I received a special ADS award in 2007.  I suspect she knew something :)

She invited Nancy and I to see the California Rose Bowl parade staging barn where the floats are constructed before the parade.   That was a very special once in a lifetime event for us.

We did not know her when she was ADS president but we did know her as a special friend.

  5. Truly a loss! Marilynn was already a significant person in the ADS Pacific Region when I joined in 1977. A Pacific VP, and then up through the ranks to the ADS Presidency. She greatly enjoyed the social aspects of the ADS, especially in lovely gowns for the evening events at the Annual Conferences! More recently, she joined with Harold Koopowitz, helping to maintain his early seedlings as they developed. He rewarded her by naming an outstanding show miniature after her. We, in Northern California, will greatly miss her at our daffodil shows.

  6. So sorry for the loss to her family and friends and to ADS!
